April 2017 Trestleboard
I hope this finds you and yours hearty and hale.
Please join us for our Stated Meeting on May 2; we will be receiving our District Deputy Grand Master to hear the Grand Master’s message. We will have a full agenda and no doubt another fantastic meal from our great Stewards.
We donated over eight boxes of books to Nathan Adams Elementary School again this year to support their summer reading program, in which kids get and keep books to read during the school break. The program is spear-headed by their librarian, Mrs. Rhoads, our 2016 Mirabeau B. Lamar Award recipient.
Please plan on joining us this Saturday, April 29th, for another Breakfast for Heroes. Spread the word, get your local first responders and their families out to the Lodge in the morning, and enjoy pancakes, bacon, fresh fruit, and made-to-order eggs.
We will continue with our Breakfast for Brothers, which has been a huge hit this year. Enjoy good mirth with friends and brothers around the breakfast table on Saturday, May 6th. Stay tuned for details.
We’ve had a very productive year and a busy calendar to show for it – if you have not made it to Lodge in a while, come join us to see what you’ve been missing. If you need a ride, be sure to let us know and we’ll take care of you.
Sincerely and fraternally,
Mike Malone, Worshipful Master
